After School Capoeira Program

Our classes are designed to be both fun and motivating. The goal of our After School Program is assisting students to become the best they can be in Capoeira, as well as developing life skills. It is geared towards getting students motivated and excited about learning in a positive, nurturing, friendly and fun environment.

Capoeira classes provide students with vehicles for expression and social-emotional development.

MOVEMENT

Students will learn fundamental movements of Capoeira — strikes, evasion, and acrobatics. Emphasis is placed on the use of movement as a form of self expression and tool for developing social-emotional skills through kinesthetic learning.

MUSIC

Students will sing songs in Portuguese and learn to how to play the various instruments and rhythms. They will develop confidence through the use of their voice and build skills for self-expression, focus, and mind/body awareness all while having fun.
